No Book Sale There is no annual Book Sale this year. Readers are encouraged to visit the Benzonia Public Library Used Book Sale, Saturday & Sunday, August 25 & 26 from 10 am-4 pm at the Benzonia Public Library 891 Michigan Ave (US-31), Benzonia.

Voter Information Ballot information, candidate information, and voter registration information may be found at the Michigan Voter Information Center provided by the Secretary of State.

Upcoming Events

Libraries Rock! 2018 Summer Reading Program
Now through September 1st

The Library can help your child maintain and even improve their reading skills over the summer. We provide a Free Reading Program throughout the summer for children and teens. This program encourages reading through prizes provided by local businesses. The program is self paced and accommodates children and teens of all reading levels.

Circle Time
Mondays at 10:00 a.m.

Infants and toddlers and their parents/caregivers will have fun rhyming and moving with Miss Char. With a focus on repetition, children build their repertoire each week of rhymes, both old and new.

Breakfast Book Share
Wednesday, August 15th at 9:00 a.m.

Bring your own coffee or tea and talk about books. Share what you have read recently and find out what fellow community members have been reading. This is a great way to discover new books!

Mending at the Library (begins Sept. 10th)
Mondays 10:30 a.m. - Noon and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

A volunteer will be at the Library to repair clothing while you wait. If you have a tear in your shirt, your child has a rip in her jeans, or the hem has unraveled from your tablecloth, bring your items to the library during "Mending Time." No formal wear or upholstery. No drop offs.

Great Benzie Read
Thursday, September 20th at 6:00 p.m.

Meets at the Betsie Valley District Library, 14744 Thompson Ave, Thompsonville.
Borrow the book "The Great Alone" by Kristin Hannah, then meet up to talk about it with readers from around the county. Refreshments provided by the Friends of Betsie Valley District Library.

Board meetings are open to the public.The board meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
